UCAS Seminar
This course will help students through filling in the form, and structuring their personal statement. It will provide invaluable resources to enable them to build their own personal statement that showcases their abilities and character in the best possible light. Application advice and interview tips will also be covered, including thoughts and comments from admissions tutors. The course aims to highlight what is being looked for by universities, and how students should present themselves to give the best impression.
This session is open to all UCAS applicant for 2009 entry (2010 for applicants who are deferring).
Careers Fair
CoEJ Youth calling community members of various professions to give participants the insight into possible careers. Information will include which A-Levels to take, university courses to attend and professional examinations required. Participants will be able to speak to professionals on a 1-2-1 basis to gain a personal insight into careers available. There will also be a range of workshops on discovering personal strengths.
This session is open to all participants above the age of 16. Participants of other events will also get the opportunity to consult the professionals present.
Freshers Fair
Entering university is a difficult time: managing finances, living away from home, balancing your workload or living at home and the challenges that inevitably follow. CoEJ annual Freshers Fair aims to guide participants through this potential minefield; through focused discussion circles and personal insights the main challenges of university life are exposed and dealt with.
This event is open only to freshers to allow the speakers and participants to be as candid and open as possible. Mature freshers are also welcome.
Graduates Fair
This session will provide participants with help, tips and tricks to completing CVs, Covering Letters and Interviews. Participants will partake in workshops, question & answer sessions and mock interviews.
This event is open to undergraduates and recent graduates.
Parents Seminar
It can often be difficult to balance between getting your children to work and simultaneously allowing them to develop their own will and passion to study. This seminar will help parents in supporting their children to realize their full potential.
This event is open to parents of all students.
