Mehjabeen, daughter of Razahusein and Marziya Rahim, was born in Peterborough, UK. Mehjabeen is from a family of

four with two elder sisters and a younger brother.

Mehjabeen has played an active part in community social work. She has assisted the activities of the Islamic Cultural Affairs Committee, Islamic education and youth desk of CoEJ. She has also been an active member of the Hussaini Youth Committee of Peterborough Jamaat. She has helped organise several tableegh events and arranged activities at the annual Noor Summer Camps. Mehjabeen was also involved in the Millennium Volunteer Scheme where she taught Quran at the Hussani Islamic Madressah of Peterborough Jamaat.

In 2006, after having successfully completed her A levels in Philosophy & Ethics, French and Sociology, Mehjabeen decided to spend a gap year in Iran. This gave her the unique opportunity of studying in the holy city of Qum at the Jamiat-al-Zahra university. Mehjabeen fluently speaks Katchi, Persian, Urdu and Gujrati. After having accomplished the rewarding task of being mentor for the babul-ilm Iran summer camp 2007,  she went on to pursue a BA in the Study of Religions at SOAS (Univeristy of London).

As well as continuing her studies, Mehjabeen attends the sisters study circle in Peterborugh and when time permits enjoys playing table-tennis and writing poetry.
