We woke up at 8:30 and were very excited about our trip to milton keynes. We had a delicious breakfast and then rushed to change. After we got ready we went to get our pack lunches of kebab rolls and headed to the coach. It was a long but exciting journey.
Finally when we got there we went to the park and played on the climbing frames. We then took a walk across the lake to the ariel extreme course. At first we were a bit scared but it turned out to be fun in the end. We had variety of activities.
Our favourite one was the 30 metre jump at the end. It was a very adventurous and exciting trip, and I conquered a fear of heights. After recovering from our tiring trip we had a very exciting night ahead of us as we were going to be having a midnight feast. We got into groups and organised our own hijabic fashion show which was really enjoyable.
Whilst we were presenting them we had yummy snacks and then got ready to pray. It was a really great experience as we all learnt how to pray namaaz-e-shab and were all able to pray for our friends and family. This was our last night of camp, and it was really really fun. After a tiring day we got ready for bed.

After the midnight feast, Shab and Fajr Namaaz, we went to sleep, tired but happy. When Fatema Aunty woke us up we were still tired and wanted to go back to sleep....
This was our last day, we had breakfast and packed our bags with mixed feelings, excited to see our families again but sad to leave the camp and the new friends we had made. We completed our evaluation questionnaire and then we went for Juma Salaat. Lunch was yummy burgers and chips.
We then had a short presentation and the girls who shone out were awarded with certificates and gifts. We also gave thank you gifts to our mentors for the wonderful camp experience that they had arranged for us.
Our mummies arrived to collect us, this was a bitter-sweet moment, we said Khuda Hafiz to each other and hoping that Inshallah next year we would be given the same opportunity.
As this was my first camp, I can only describe it as being the most wonderful, exhilarating and memorable experience. I can’t wait for the next one.
