 Details on The World Federation President’s meeting with Ayatullah al-Uzma Syed Sistani and other Maraje
On 29 Sha’ban 1430 AH (21 August 2009), the President of The World Federation was granted a personal audience by his Eminence Ayatullah al-Uzma Syed Sistani. The President was accompanied by Shaykh Safder Jaffer.
General discussions
Agha greeted the delegation warmly and appealed for prayers for the people of Najaf and Iraq, about which he is very concerned.
He once again mentioned that he offers special prayers for the Khoja Community, quoting a Prophetic hadith on the importance of ‘Loving and Hating for the sake of Allah’. He stated that his love for the Khoja Community is for the sake of Allah and that it was one of his duties to love and care for our community.

 S I Madressa (London, Stanmore) Silver Jubilee
With the 25th anniversary, S I Madressa (London, Stanmore) has this year reached yet another milestone in its history.
To celebrate the Silver Jubilee, a programme is going to be held on the 8th November 2009 at the Hujjat Centre (Stanmore), Inshallah.
As a preamble, the principal of the S I Madressa, Br Zeeshan Kanji, delivered a speech to the community members on Friday 28th August 2009.

According to the Shariah, Fitra becomes incumbent when the new moon of Shawwal is sighted. This is known as Zakat of Fitra, which is Wajib on every Baligh person.
If you have a guest with you, who has arrived at your house before sunset on the eve of Eid ul Fitr, then his/her Fitra is WAJIB upon you.
As per law 1999 of Ayatullah Seestani’s ‘Islamic laws’: “At the time of sunset on Eid ul Fitr, whoever is adult and sane and is neither unconscious, nor poor, or the slave of another, he should give, on his own behalf as well as on behalf of all those who are his dependents, about three kilos per head of wheat or barley or dates or raisins or rice of millet etc. It is also sufficient if he pays the price of one of these items in case”

Alhamdullilah during the recent ziyaraat of Iraq,I had the great honour of meeting our Marjaa e Alam, Ayatullah al Uzamaa Sayed Ali Sistaani in Najaaf & conveyed salaams from all momineen of Europe. Sending his salaams to all momineen he gave the following messages.
He advised all present to aquire knowledge so that we may aquire respect from the communities we live in & are able to influence matters relating to our affairs.He also advised us all to persevere with our efforts to uphold our beloved faith the madhab of ahlul-bait.
I also met Ayatullah Hafiz Basheer who also conveyed salaams to all momineen in Europe.
