The Peterborough tableegh committee has organised an annual mosque open day on Sunday, 25 July 2010 at 2.00pm – 6.00pm in Husaini Islamic Centre, 4 Burton Street, Peterborough, PE1 5HD

The event will have various Art and Science displays and will be featuring a short 13 minute film titled '1001 inventions and the library of secrets', at regular intervals.

The short documentary type film takes the viewer on a journey to discover the Muslim Heritage in our world, and traces the forgotten story of a thousand years of science and technology from what was known as the 'Golden Era' for Muslims.

Other various displays and activities will also form part of the event.

Refreshments and snacks will be readily available and it will be a good opportunity to share in the coming together of different faith and non faith groups in order to promote a more conducive, cohesive society.
