Hajj 1430:  Message from the President
وَأَذِّن فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَى كُلّ
ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ

“And proclaim the Hajj to people:  they shall come to you on foot and on lean camels coming from distant places.”  (Surat Al-Hajj, 22:27)

My Dear Brothers, Sisters and Loving Children,

Salaamun Alaykum. Alhamdulillah, we have been bestowed with the Almighty’s Blessings as we are fortunate enough to be gathered together for the holy month of Dhul Hijjah.

“And pilgrimage to the House is incumbent upon men for the sake of Allah, (upon) every one who is able to undertake the journey to it” ~ Holy Quran, (3:97)

In the name of Allah, the most compassionate, the Merciful.

‘The sacrifice of an animal is a lesson in:
Love, Devotion, Giving in the way of God,
The power of intention during tests and difficulties,
Complete submission, and True worship to God.’

With the Hajj season approaching, The Council of European Jamaats is taking requests from Mo’mineen around the world to have a Qurbani (sacrifice of an animal) performed on their behalf on the occasion of Eid al Hajj.

The meat from the Qurbanis will be distributed among the needy, including widows and orphans.

The European Hajj Mission of CoEJ has produced a set of mp3 version of English lectures given by  Dr Mahmmod Datoo when he was the English speaker with the EHM in 2007. There are 12 lectures, each about 20 minutes on average.
