ImageNishaat was born in Leicester, in 1984 and has lived there till date. Her father Muslim Rajani is from Dar-es-Salaam and mother Farzana from Pakistan. She is the first of the three siblings, followed by Mohamed Hasnein and Sarah, who are both currently at university.

She completed her GCSEs at Sir Jonathan North CC and A level qualifications at The Beauchamp Collage both located in Leicester. Nishaat then went on to study Education studies and Psychology and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Science in July 2008. She speaks various languages including Gujerati, English, Urdu and partially understands Kutchi, French and German.

In the past she has taken part in various community activities for example organising events such as Hussain days etc. Nishaat has been the head of Behlool Society, Leicester Jamaat’s Youth group in which she has organised many successful events. A project which she set up was the Behlool Ed Club which gave one to one tuition to the children of the community from the age of to A-level students. Currently she specialises Akhlaq and teachers at the Sharikatul Hussain Saturday Workshop and has been part of it since 2003. She wants to give back to the community whatever knowledge she may potentially have in order to develop and create a stronger more united community. In 2003 she started working for The Body shop At Home which gave her a part time job which was flexible enough for her busy daily schedule. Her passion for the company then drove her to embark on a new career step of working in the store as a Customer Consultant which she feels very passionately for.

Nishaat enjoys playing all sports though badminton and swimming are her favourite. She has participated in CoEJ tournaments and is the goal keeper for the girl’s football team of Leicester Jamaat. Reciting nauhas and qasidas and giving lectures is another interest of Nishaat that she thoroughly loves. She looks forward to this perfect opportunity she has been given to be a mentor at the camp.
