ImageSaara was born in 1990. After completing her GCSEs at Nower Hill High, Saara did her A-levels at Watford Grammar School, taking Politics, English and RS. She is currently in her first year at Nottingham University.

Trying to live by the motto “Obey the Creator and serve His Creation” (Holy Prophet), Saara is enthusiastic about getting involved in progressive activities, whether they be at Hujjat Stanmore, at school- through holding a range of positions including being a Peer Mentor, a prefect, Chair of the Politics Society and a member of the School Council, at University; through being on the Executive for the Islamic Society and co-ordinator of events such as Islam Awareness Week and the University’s upcoming Inter-Faith Week, or globally; through taking part in fundraising events for charities and by being an active member of Amnesty International and Stop the War Coalition. Saara is currently a volunteer of the CoEJ Youth Desk.

Saara loves to spend time in nature, and is passionate about social and environmental justice. She is keen to pursue a career in the political arena and to carry out humanitarian work on a global level. Saara was the photographer and media person at last year’s camp, and is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to go back again as a mentor.
