In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Today was our last day and what a day it was: informative classes, football tournaments and hilarious sketches performed by the campers.  I think every mentor can agree that it has been a long tiresome process, but the results have been astonishing.  Watching the campers develop physically, mentally, and spiritually has been a reward that I can assure every mentor has enjoyed.

Seeing the campers on the last day brought both feelings of pride and loss, though the former outweighed the latter. Seeing the campers, discussing with them, laughing with them and watching how rhey engages with each other.

We woke them up as per usual, then #I saw them next in class as I was teaching. We discussed ‘Engagemnet in Society’ where we mentioned about how Muslims really should behave within normal western society. They enjoyed the class they said and found it to be a welcome topic for them to consider their akhlaq before they go back.

After classes we had Quran Khane and then sports. Sports was fil.ed with football tournemants: interplanet games and mentor vs. planets and mentor vs. seniors - of which I believe the score was 12 1 to the mentors!! The inter planet tournament saw some thrilling fixtures, which didn’t fail to impress. The whole camp was on the pitch, either playing or supporting. It was a great time with everyone smiling and laughing and enjoying the game against each other. Though it was a competition the feeling of brotherhood between them did not dissipate, but much rather seemed strengthened on the field.

During PDT we played our final quiz whilst also watched as the campers performed skits of the day. There was the usual wakeup call (that took longer for some planets than it was supposed to!), classes and sports. Finally the mentors were told that they too had to act out a skit in front of the campers of their night meetings - which they happily did if only to charicterure the admin! The atmosphere of the room was amazing and it truly felt like a real camp or family.
