ImageShuayb was born in Watford, UK in 1990. His parents, Abbas and Shamim , are from East Africa. Though his ancestory is traditionally from India, there are traces of Iranian in him from his maternal side. At 18 years old, he is the third oldest out of 4 siblings.

His secondary education was taken at Bushey Meads School where he attained pleasant grades in 11 GCSEs. He afterwards moved to Dr Challoners Grammar School in Buckinghamshire where he is awaiting the results of his A-levels in Maths, Physics, Religious Studies and Spanish. He is currently taking a gap-year after which he hopes to enter university to study Politics.

Shuayb has worked for the community since he was young. He has worked for Stanmore Jafferies for 7 years and is currently heading the Literary Committee. In addition, he has worked for various other projects and schemes and has volunteered for CoEJ, Ansar Youth Project, Muslim Youth Helpline and was an active member of SSAW (School Students Against War, the student organisation of Stop The War Coalition) as well as other organisations. He has also taught at Saturday Workshop for the past 4 years on a variety of subjects including Tareekh, Fiqh, Aklaqh, Debating, Public Speaking and Current Affairs.

In his spare time Shuayb loves running, learning languages and reading on a variety of topics especially International Affairs. He also enjoys watching movies, and this coupled with his passion for language, has given him an avid interest in foreign cinema.
He attended Sweden Summer Camp in 2004 as a student and found it to be a great experience.
