On day seven we woke up for Fajr on time and as soon as the Fajr Salaat finished, our resident Alim along with all the other campers placed the our Arizas
that we wrote a few days ago into the lake. Lets pray that our duas are accepted. As usual after a fulfilling breakfast we headed off to the class.
Our first class was with the Sheikh, we learnt about the topics mentioned in the Holy Qur'an. We found out that around 20% of the verses in the Holy qur'anrelate to the Hereafter. Our next lesson was with Shoiabbha Merali. This lesson was held outside in front of the beautiful lake and we were taught about brotherhood in Islam. We learnt that we should sacrifice our time and efforts to aid our Muslim brothers whenever they are in need. He also told us a story about the Battle of Tabook. The story was about a man who had a cousin who went to war and did not come back the next day. So the man got worried and took a Jug of water and went looking for his cousin. He eventually found his cousin and offered him water. His cousin heard someone else wheezing so the cousin said, “give the water to the other guy because he is in more need”. So the man went to the other guy and the other guy herd a wheezing of another man and said, “give the water to the other guy as he is in more need than me”. So this man took the water to the third guy and as he got there the man was already dead. So he went back to the second man and also found him dead. He said to himself then “I shall go back to my cousin and give him the water”. Unfortunately, as he got back to his cousin, his cousin had already passed away. The morale of this story is that we should do whatever it takes to help our Muslim brothers and sisters and never be selfish.
Our next lesson was taught by Suhailbha, who talked about hijab in terms of clothig, behaviour and attitude. Our fourth lession was by Shuaybbha Ismail who focussed on Akhlaq. He taught us that Akhlaq comes from the root word “khulq” which means personality. We also learnt that husnal khulq was the best form of akhlaq, with speech, a smile and lowering our wings three key attributes.
Then after namaaz, we had lovely lunch and followed by Qur'an khani. We then headed towards the activities centre nearby where we were confronted with rather a suprisingly excellent assault course which challenge a few of the campers. We were then challenged with the falling towers (crate stacking). This was a lot harder than we expected as balancing on the crates proved to be a crucial factor in getting high up.
Once we were shattered at end of the activities, we had delicious kebabs for dinner followed by namaaz. PDT was then next where we had various quizes and an intro by our co-mentor Mohamed Sadiqbha Rajani. We then headed off to our house and had planet time were we discussed today activities and then began planned for the closing ceremony which will take in place during PDT on Thursday night.
