At a ceremony in Marsta, Sweden this afternoon, the CoEJ Education Sweden Summer Camp presented Salim Govani with a momento for his services and dedication to the camp.

The Govani family provide local assistance to the camp throughout the year, acting as the Swedish arm of the administration team. They communicate with the campsite, organise the deliver of food, Halal meat and other items to the site, and cater for all logistical and travel needs of the camp. UPDATE: Campers have arrived safely - UK Connection

 

Inshallah the Sweden Summer Camp will be returning to the UK this evening. They are expected at Husseini Islamic Centre Wood Lane Stanmore HA7 4LQ at about 23:30

Please check this site for any updates to their travel plans; information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

Parents and guardians are reminded that they must see the campers mentors before leaving; this feedback meeting will also include the handing over of passports and relevant paperwork. Patience is requested as this process can take some time and campers will be seen in “need-to-leave” priority taking into account the distance campers have to travel home.

Upon arrival of the coach into the centre, parents and guardians should identify the campers unloaded luggage, place it in cars etc. and then make their way inside the Gents main hall. Campers will meet them inside and direct them to their mentors. Any assistance in the unloading of luggage to allow the coach to get away quickly will be gratefully accepted.
