Madinah boys take part in cupping, and visit Shaykhan graveyard. They also meet Ayatullah Amini and spend the evening in discussions. |

The groups visit Tehran and visit Imam Khomeini's grave, Juma prayers, and the haram of Shah Abdul Azim. |
Classes continue. Pre-Ziyarat briefing is held with Sheikh Khalfan. Dua Kumail is recited in Haram. Brothers visit Ansariyan bookstore. |

Madinah and Bab classes continue. Sisters are taken for swimming. Both groups meet renowned personalities. In the evening there is a celebration at The WF Qum Office. |
The Madinah students continue with classes. The sisters are given an insight into the Shohoda of the war. In the evening the group visits Jamkaran. |
Madinah sisters meet a Hafiz of the Quran, Nahjul Balagha and Sahifa Sajjadiyyah. They also meet with Sheikh Shomali. Brothers attend an astronomy centre as well as an informal gathering with Sheikh Shameli. |
The Madinah students visit Isfahan and pay respects at the shrine of Allamah Majlisi. They spend the evening by the river in discussions. On Sunday they visit Naqshejahan Square in central Isfahan. The Bab students enter Qum. |
Dua Nudba recited at the haram. First round of classes come to an end. Namaz e Juma at the haram. Sisters climb mount Khizr in the evening. Boys climb mount Khizr in the morning and hold discussions in the evening at the park. |
Ziyarat is performed at Fajr time. Classes continue. Dua Kumail is recited at the haram. The boys meet Syed Hashemi, Q & A expert of Ayatullah Sistani. |
The students have formed a habit of Namaz e Shab. Classes continue. The participants meet Hujjat al-Islam Syed Musawi Lari and visit Bayt al-Noor. The evening finishes with a discussion in the park. |
The students have the opportunity of visiting the Haram in the early mornings. This was also their first day of classes. In the evening the students visited Masjid e Jamkaran.

An Inspiration to our Youths. Sister Anisa Rajbhai, student-helper for Madinah al-Ilm wrote: On the 20th of July 2008, we began the journey of a lifetime to the blessed city of Qum. We feel extremely privileged to be given the opportunity to go to Iran and in particular, being able to go as helpers, thereby serving the guests of our Imam (AS). |
Update on Tuesday 22nd July 2008 Bismihi Ta'ala We have received word from our helpers that all is well and the boys are thoroughly enjoying their stay. They have just finished their first day of classes. They are all staying at madrasah Imam Khomeini and described the atmosphere as 'buzzing'. |

Stanmore, UK After completing his A levels in Maths, Biology, and Chemistry, Mohamed Zamin embarked upon an eight year course at the Hawza Ilmiyya of London and the Islamic College for Advanced Studies (ICAS), where he hopes to achieve a BA, MA and PhD in Islamic Studies and Arabic upon completion of the course. |
Leicester, UK Sister Fatima completed her GCSEs in Peterborough, and then went on to study Psychology, Sociology, and Religious Studies at A levels. She then moved to Leicester and took a gap year in which she decided to travel and take up a part time Arabic course at Leicester University. |
Stanmore, UK Kumail was born in Mombasa and moved to London in 2004 at the age of 16. Kumail completed his GCSEs and then his A-levels. He is currently undertaking a degree in Mathematics with Management and Finance at King's College, London. Kumail has participated in Islamic short courses such as the Nakuru Summer Camp in 2000, the Peterborough Winter Camp in 2004 and the Madinah al-Ilm Summer Course in 2005. Kumail has also taught at the Madresah in Stanmore for two years teaching Akhlaq to classes 5 and 7. |
Birmingham, UK Sister Fatema Zahra attained 10 GCSE's and 3 A levels in Mathematics, Business Studies, and Philosophy & Ethics. She has recently completed her BSc degree in Accounting & Finance at the University of Birmingham. |
