Day 1 - Monday 20th July 2009 Sister's diary - Written by Sohaila Yusuf, KSIMC Dubai
We finally arrived at the Imam Khomeni International Airport in Tehran at about 10:30 pm on Sunday. As I took my first step out of the plane, I felt goose bumps all over my body as I was stepping into Tehran after 9 long years! As we proceeded towards the exit, we were given a very warm welcome by the volunteers of The World Federation who then directly set us off to a 90 minute ride towards the Holy city of Qum, where we entered ‘Jamiatuz Zahra’ for the first time; this was going to be our ‘home’ until end of the camp. We were then joined by our African sisters at about 7am in the next morning.

Due to the inability to call out to Europe, Africa, and the UAE from the Islamic Republic of Iran currently, parents of campers are requested to use the following contact numbers to contact their children. |
