Zainab Rashid - A Teacher's Journey Print E-mail
One of the Madressa teachers from Zainabiya Madressa - Milton Keynes is about to embark on a 'journey of a lifetime'. Zainab Rashid will be leaving the UK, on the 3rd July, to go to Kibaha as a volunteer Teacher. Kibaha is a village about 45km from the city of Dar-es-salaam.

She will spend about a month, mainly helping the children of Whipas School; a boarding facility which supports over 2000 children (on a charitable basis). She plans to teach English, to some of the younger children, helping out as a Teaching assistant in other classes - as well as looking after the children throughout the day, at meal times and bed time.

madheadp1260001 The third meeting of Madaaris heads in Europe was held on 28 January hosted by Hujjat Saturday Workshop, Stanmore. The meeting was a continuation of the previous one held in Milton Keynes. The key conclusions from the meeting are listed below however CoEJ Education felt that one major outcome stands out. Report of Madaaris Heads Meeting Held 18 November 2007 Print E-mail
Image On 18th November the second meeting of the Heads of Madaaris in Europe was held by the Council of European Jamaats and hosted by the Zainabiya Madrasah, Milton Keynes . As with the first meeting and with all subsequent meetings the first part was a tour of the Milton Keynes Madrasah. The tour was conducted by the principle Hasnain Kara and the heads had the opportunity to see the classes in action.

The main meeting was conducted by Dr Sibtain Panjwani. As past chairman of the Education Board and Secretary General of the World Federation, Dr Sibtain delivered an interesting presentation focussing on past achievements of the community in the field of Madrasah and how we can develop the work that has already been carried out. The presentation ended with a lively discussion on developing broad objectives and a framework around which all European Madaaris can work towards.
