CoEJ & World Federation Hold Orientation Seminar for Iran Summer Camps Print E-mail
An Orientation seminar was held for the participants of this year's Madinah al-Ilm and Bab al-Ilm Summer Camps to be held in Qum, Iran. The Seminar was chaired by Sheikh Abbas Ismail. At the seminar, WF’s Qum Office was represented by Sheikh Nadir Jaffer and Sheikh Mohammed Ali Ismail, and CoEJ was represented by Hasnain Panjwani and Hasnain Ramji. Also in attendance were some of the mentors: Aliya Datoo, Mehjabeen Rahim and Munir Chagpar.
 
Sheikh Abbas began by introducing the organisers from World Federation (WF) and CoEJ. He also explained the roles of the regions and the WF’s Qum office in the organisation and delivery of the summer camps.

The Education Committee of CoEJ in conjunction with the Islamic Education Board of The World Federation and its Qum office is again running the 4th 'Madinah al-Ilm' and 'Bab al-Ilm' courses in Iran this summer 2007. The 'Madinah-al-Ilm' course is offered to both boys and girls (separate camps) aged 18-24 years old. The 'Bab al-Ilm' course is offered to both boys and girls (separate camps) aged14-17 years old.  The courses offer both an academic programme that involves lessons in the Hawza in Qum on various subjects from renowned scholars alongside a cultural programme involving a wide variety of cultural and historical visits and Ziyarat trips as well as sporting activities. The fees are heavily subsidised and there are very limited places available.  Those wishing to apply are advised not to delay their application.  To view a video of a previous participants experience click here
