At a time when British Muslims and the faith of Islam are under unprecedented public and media scrutiny, the MCB's Media Committee is organising a special one-day seminar on 'British Muslims - Engaging with the Media' The seminar's aim is to help develop the skills needed by British Muslims to ensure a better and more accurate representation of their faith and values in the print and broadcast media. Speakers include Professor Greg Philo of the Media Unit, University of Glasgow, Graham Dudman, Managing Editor, The Sun; Robin Esser, Executive Managing Editor, the Daily Mail; Doug Wills, Managing Editor, London Evening Standard; Lindsey Hilsum, International Editor, Channel 4 News, Guy Keleny, Letters Editor, The Independent; Joy Johnson, Director of Media, GLA; a senior manager from BBC and journalists Burhan Wazir, Abul Taher and Arifa Akbar.
