Ali was born in Chichester, UK and currently resides in Hemel Hempstead. His primary and secondary schooling was in Hemel Hempstead, taking his GCSEs at John F Kennedy School. He went on to study A-Levels at Watford Grammar School for Boys. He graduated from Cambridge University in June 2006 with a Masters in Engineering and will Inshallah go on to work for a software consultancy in Stevenage.
Ali has been involved in the community for a number of years. He has chaired programmes at the Islamic Centre, Stanmore, and worked on a variety of CoEJ and WF projects. He is a graduate of the Hujjat Saturday Workshop. Ali has been a member of the CoEJ Education committee since 2003. He was involved in the administration team of the GCSE Revision Course in 2004, the UCAS Seminars 2003-05, and attends the Sweden camp for the fifth consecutive year, this time as an administrator. He has also participated in the World Federation Facilitation Skills Course 2006.
In his spare time, he plays a variety of sports, and over many years has participated at the CoEJ annual sports festival, representing Stanmore in Badminton. He likes to read, is the former secretary of his college student body and sits on a variety of club and society committees. |
