Muslims of Stanmore Condemn Extremists |

PRESS RELEASE We have watched with sadness the events of the last few days in which the Police have foiled terrorist attacks in Glasgow and London. We would like to thank the Police and emergency services for their courageous endeavours which have prevented what could have been carnage of catastrophic magnitude. The fact that these potential attacks were perpetuated in the name of Islam is horrifying. Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) lived peacefully amongst people of various faiths and diversity which is a testimony in itself that Islam does not espouse violence or discrimination of any kind. In common with all religions and communities, there are extremists within Islam, who it would appear have hijacked the name of Islam in pursuance of their political objectives.
