THE MULLA ASGHAR MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT 2007 - 27th AUGUST Once more the Council of European Jamaats (CoEJ) is holding the Mulla Asghar Memorial Tournament (MAMT) during the Summer Bank Holiday. The games will be held over three days with the golf competition being played on the final day, Monday 27th August.
This year Peterborough Jamaat is hosting the MAMT and we will hold the golf competition at Thorpe Wood Golf Course. Thorpe Wood was developed as one of the first major leisure projects in the expansion of Peterborough and has been recognised as the leading Pay-as-you-Play course in the country. The course was designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, who also designed the Belfry, and was constructed to a very high standard. It challenges and rewards golfers of all levels and abilities. The gently undulating Par 73 course with a length of 7086 yards from the white tees is maintained in superb condition and never closes, whatever the weather.
The green fees for this event are a very reasonable £25 inclusive of your MAMT entry fee of £10 (if playing one sport) and we have 36 places reserved. So if you wish to play, please email
