Diary of Day 10 - Madinah-al-Ilm and Bab-al-Ilm 4 Course E-mail
Day 10 - Wednesday 1 August 2007

Girls' Diary:  Tying the loose ends from our Akhlaq class was quite sad as we had enjoyed the classes with the teacher. The content was such that we could relate it to our lives and he often cited relevant examples.

In addition to our normal daily routine, we had 2 guest speakers. Khanome Mir Imam, the wife of a martyr, visited us at the Jamiah and gave us a a talk about her husband who was a martyr in the Iraq-Iran war. She highlighted a few characteristics of her husband which included accepting Imam Khomeini as the representative of the 12th Imam (aj), hence following him and acting upon his laws in every situation. The talk was quite thought-provoking and emotional.
After Maghribain, we had a session with Sister Sajida Daya. This was at the Alawi park. The talk we must say was exceptionally interesting and quite deep. She exposed the lies of the westeners towards Muslim women and their corrupt and evil thoughts.

Lastly, we had dinner at a fast food restaurant. It was great having fries and burger after almost 2 weeks. The girls enjoyed the meal Alhamdulillah.

Boys' Diary:  As we all have submitted to All-h (SWT), we woke up up early for Salaatul Fajr. Thereafter we had Dua-e-Ahad. Soon after we all went back to sleep. At 8 we woke up and freshened up a little and went down for breakfast. Our classes started at 9 O'clock and went on until 11:45 with two breaks in between. From 11:45 to 12:15 we had free time and then went for Namaaz Zohr and Asr, after which we had lunch and were free until 3:30 p.m when Quran class as scheduled to begin.

At 4:30 pm our Quran class was over and we prepared for swimming. As soon as we were ready , we left for the pool. We were lucky to have our Quran teachers join us for this social event. We swam and had a great time. The two groups, Madina and Baab socialised a lot and had a good time at the pool, sauna and steam bath. After swimming we went to the Shaykhan Graveyard, where the compiler of Mafaatihul Jinan, Shaykh Abbas Qummi is buried. Also buried there is the teacher of Ayatullah Khomeini. After we paid our respects we went and prayed Namaaz in the Haram and then everyone got into groups and went for shopping and dinner. We met at the bus at around 10pm and drove back home and got ready for lights out at 11pm.
