CoEJ European Hajj Mission 2006 Essay Competition |

An essay competition, entitled "My Experiences of Hajj 2006" was initiated by the EHM as the group saw a very high number of youngsters, due to coinciding public holidays in the UK. The aim was to encourage the youngsters to record their experiences that would serve as an impetus to other youngsters to consider undertaking the journey of a lifetime.
Two judges (themselves in the group), together with Alhajj Ahmed Dungersi, the EHM Chairman, read and assessed the essays independently of each other. A unanimous decision was arrived as to the winning submission.
The winner is Sister Samana Fazel of Leicester.

EHM congratulates the winner, and the other submitters for their magnificent contributions. It is hoped their experiences will indeed make the youngsters think of hajj, sooner, rather than later, in their lives.
