Course Outline: The World Federation's Islamic Education department, in conjunction with the Council of European Jamaats, is pleased to announce an exciting CPD (Continuous Personal Development) course on Aqaid (Islamic Theology). The course will be conducted by Sheikh Mohammed Ali Ismail . Topics likely to be covered are as follows: 1. Introduction: An Overview of Islamic Theology a. Definition of Islamic Theology b. 3. The Concept of Divinely Appointed Guides a. Prophethood i. The Need for Prophets ii. Infallibility of Prophets iii. The Prophet of Islam (s) b. Imamat i. The Need for Imams ii. Characteristics of Imams iii. Imam Mahdi (a)

This course is ideal for madrasah teachers and for anyone with an interest in furthering their educational and personal development.
Tutor profile:
After graduating with a BA in Law from Demontfort University in Leicester, Sheikh Mohammed Ali pursued his Islamic Studies in the holy city of Qum. He spent a total of 10 years in the holy city of Qum and successfully graduated this summer. He is currently pursuing his Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Portsmouth. Sheikh Mohammed Ali also delivers weekly classes and lectures at Wessex Jamaat.
Logistics:
The course will be fully residential and will commence at approximately 1800 on Friday 21 December 2007 and is due to finish at approximately 1700 on Sunday 23 December 2007 at the Latimer Conference Centre in Buckinghamshire. Participants will be expected to remain on site throughout the duration of the course.
Cost:
The costs are heavily subsidised. The cost of the course is only £75 per person based on two people sharing a room. The actual, non subsidised cost is £160. Applicants have the choice of paying £30 extra for a single occupancy.
