I thank the organisations for their wholehearted involvement and support in this initiative. I envisage the collective body to be a landmark achievement in the history of Shias in Britain. I pray to Allah (swt) to grant the Council all the success and to remove any obstacles in the path of furthering the services to the Shia community.”Al – Hajj Munawwar bhai Rattansi, President of the Council of European Jamaats, said, “The meeting was truly engaging and a tremendous boost to the British Shia community. The need for such a body on the issue of MINAB and other issues further down the line is most needed. It is heartening to have such a united positive response from the Shia scholars and organisations. I look forward to the finalisation of the Terms of Reference and working dynamics of the Council. May Allah (swt) accept the efforts and sincerity of all those involved.”To see photos click here
